" Speech a King" tells the untold story of the father of the current Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom who suffered a very pronounced stutter, which totally paralyzed when it came to speak in public.
Being the 2nd son of King Albert was not destined to the throne. His elder brother, King Edward VIII to marry Wallis Simpson wishing, an American divorcee 2 times already and love he felt for her being stronger than his duties as ruler, decided to abdicate. And Albert became king as George VI in 1937.

The film focuses on a particular aspect of history: how George VI, with the support of his wife, Elizabeth, and using a non-standard speech ( and without degrees), Lionel Logue, manage to fight his stuttering to meet its obligations especially royal and overcome his disability during the numerous public speeches and radio that his job required him to do.

I will not go to talk about the undeniable talent of Colin Firth ( George VI), Geoffrey Rush ( Lionel Logue) and Helena Bonham Carter (Elizabeth ), the beautiful staging simple and effective by Tom Hooper.
confess that at the beginning of the film, I began to be skeptical since the start seemed slow, but as soon as "Bertie" exercises began with Lionel Logue, I found myself immersed in history and I wanted one thing, to know more ...

Colin Firth

Geoffrey Rush

Helena Bonham Carter

The film opens in theaters on February 2 next . Do not hesitate a second! I recommend you see this film in the original (subtitled ) to better enjoy the game by Colin Firth.
In the meantime, if you have not already, watch the trailer!
