Stravinsky Fountain and sculptures

Stravinsky Fountain , located on the square of the same name near Beaubourg and IRCAM, was founded in 1983 in tribute to Russian composer, Jean Tinguely and Niki de Saint Phalle. It consists of sculptures in resin and metal, animated by motors.

I remember my parents took me to see this Fountain in 1984 but I do not doubt that at the time it was very recent. So today, for me, she is part of the neighborhood as if it had always existed. I thought he had never seen moving in and getting back into the old photos, I realize that this is how I saw it first! The proof in pictures ...

When I moved last December, I was shocked by the condition of the fountain almost empty, dead leaves and even litter languishing in the fountain. It gave him a really foul air and it completely spoiled the effect brought by the bright colors of the sculptures. Too bad.
