Excessive Amounts Of Cervical Mucus

Teapot Cover Girl

Galeries Lafayette on Boulevard Haussmann ( Paris, 9th ) has a gallery showing five yearly exhibitions which still revolves around the theme of creation.

Right now and until March 19, the exhibition CoverGirl has elected domicile in this gallery. It includes photographs and magazine covers, including Galeries Lafayette from 1906 to 1968.
For fifty years, fashion photography continues to define the canons of female beauty. Become one of the most visual cultures shared world, the art of portraiture specific advertising and magazines never let contemporary indifferent. ( source: the site of the Gallery of Galeries )

The exhibition begins with a series of photos of Michael Journiac representative 24 hours the life of an ordinary woman and dating from 1974. What is less usual is that this woman is played by a man. Some photos of me amused by the contrast between the cliché of "feminine" tasks and masculinity of the character.

is continued with the visit included photographs of Josephine and Juan Francisco Casas Meckseper, a few magazine covers representing the work of Martha Rosler.

In Another room, the covers are displayed of15 catalogs Galeries Lafayette from 1906 to 1968. This is the part of the exhibition that I preferred.

And just before leaving the gallery, you can also see the lithograph produced by Rebecca Bournigault ( 50 copies are available at the Gallery ) and some covers of FILE magazine, produced by a collective of artists Canada, between 1967 and 1994.

Feel free to discover this free exhibition which has a mixture of genres, at least somewhat surprising.
